In 2015 a study by the World Health Organization reports that Europe’s population consumes more alcohol than in any other part of the world, drinking an average of 8.71 liters or the equivalent of twenty-five beer sized glasses per capita each year(WHO). Though Europeans consume more alcohol than people in America they do it throughout a prolonged period of time, not just in one sitting. Alcohol is usually introduced to young people in Europe in settings with a level of security, such as their home, where they learn to drink responsibly and with moderation , unlike in America where most young people drink in isolated places like college dorms.Several interviews done to youths by the Comision Europea suggests that they are satisfied with how their parents respect their ideals and treat them like an equal , a young adult aware of the consequences that alcohol brings later in life(Comision). Alcohol awareness programs in schools across America are ineffective in delaying the deaths of 1,800 students every year due to alcohol-related causes. An additional 600,000 are injured while drunk(Hingson). The government needs to approve a bill for a budget that will not only provide free education ,under any circumstances, but improve the quality of the information that alcohol awareness programs are passing on to all students.Through these procedures the movement of drinking alcohol isolated from the outside world will shift, specifically from college dorms, to bars and other public places with better security. An estimated 6.6 million children under 18 live in households with at least one alcoholic parent(FAS).Education on proper alcohol management should not be limited to just students but also their guardians , the first teachers of any child. The provision of these services, regardless of age, will allow people to have to to time analyze and respond to the effects of alcohol on their bodies and realize the severity of the consequences, thus implementing discipline, drinking in moderation, and making better choices through the process to ensure the welfare of the American
