I agree with your points about low birth weight infant, I can understand environmental factor effects the pre term delivery. some people can't afford the medical insurance because of low income but here nurses need to be educate the people about the insurance and how they can protect the baby’s under seek medical treatment. Now there are many resources available in every state. I read one article in our group Baby Bear Hugs its looks like a great resource. Many Rn goes to the home and provide education its really good because of mother and baby health. RN can motivate to the patient and family members about these resources.
