DOI: 5/2/2013. Patient is a 49 year-old female cleaner who sustained low back pain and right hand pain while compacting trash into a big trash can. The patient was subsequently diagnosed with bursitis of hip. As per medical report dated 4/11/16, patient complains of low back pain with associated leg pain. On physical examination, patient has tenderness of the greater trochanter upon bony palpation of the right hip. Soft tissue palpation on the right revealed tenderness of the supraspinous ligament, the iliolumbar region, and the piriformis. Active range of motion revealed, lateral flexion to the right is 15 degrees, flexion is 45 degrees, and extension is 10 degrees. Pain is noted during motion.
