In a very heavily wooded area, known as Enclave Parkway and Lover’s Lane, Cheryl Henry, who was 22 at the time, and her boyfriend Andy Atkinson, who was 21, were found brutally murdered in West Houston on August 23, 1990. Earlier that night Cheryl and Andy went on a double date with Cheryl’s sister, along with her boyfriend, and a chaperone. After the double date, it was known that Cheryl and Andy planned to go to Lover’s Lane. Lover’s Lane, was “a common spot for young couples who wanted some privacy” (citation). “When her family failed to hear from her, and Cheryl did not show up for work the next day, they reported her missing” (citation).
