The novel, Love Me to Death, by Allison Brennan was about a former victim named Lucy Kincaid, who aspired to become an FBI Agent as a result of traumatic events in teenage years. Lucy Kincaid volunteered part time at Women and Child First (WCF), an organization that tracked online predators, while going through her employment process at the Bureau. Her ability to track various sex-offenders, an admiral quality for a prospective agent, quickly backfired. Lucy Kincaid had to face an array of challenges on her lengthy course to becoming a Federal Agent, and that was the theme of Brennan's novel: the ability to push through adversity. Lucy Kincaid's possibility at a career in the Federal Bureau is jeopordized when she's framed for committing serial murders. Being a volunteer for the WCF Organization for over __ years, Lucy's duty was to organize crucial set ups in order to exploit online predators in action. Mysteriously enough, every single one of Kincaid's previous cases were unsealed, even her future cases were revealed, and before she makes an arrest, the suspect was murdered. In relation to the theme of the novel, despite all of the evidence pointing to Lucy Kincaid, her persistence allowed her to push through false accusations. Kincaid fights to clear her own name by developing her own criminal investigation. Another example of external conflict that Brennan displayed in the novel Lucy Kincaid's traumatic event. Lucy Kincaid had been tracking sex-offenders for a long time, and one of them was named Peter Miller. Peter Miller was a high school teacher, previously arrested for statutory rape, and before Kincaid could track him, the trail went cold. What Lucy didn't know, however, was that Miller had made the intelligent realization that a cop was on to him, and soon discovered Lucy. He stalked for months before having enough courage to kidnap her for his own personal vendetta. As a previous kidnap, and rape victim, Lucy Kincaid was determined to stay alive. Her determination and will to push forward in arduous

The “Eat me/drink me” scene has become very iconic in pop culture. But for something so heavily associated with childhood, there is a deceptively dark current running through it. In the novel, Alice is very much playing at being an adult, although the reader knows that she thinks very much like a child. Carroll’s use of understatement makes this obvious to the reader. Phrases such as, “if you cut your finger very deeply with a knife, it usually bleeds,” and “if you drink much from a bottle marked “poison,” it is almost certain to disagree with you, sooner or later,” hint to the reader that Alice has a concept of consequences but may not be able to foresee them accurately (Carroll 10).…

Every day I listen to at least one rap song, and nine times out of ten, the artist is rapping about women. Hip-Pop and Rap music is the genre that has been known to humiliate women. It's horrific to think that we have somehow come to accept sexism and discrimination. Artists can say women are not being targeted, but because of this music, the public is convinced that women seek ownership and obedience. Women shouldn't be sexualized or objectified.…

I really like the image called "Those Who Love Me Will Keep My Word". In this image it shows two people who are obviously starving and the one on top is holding the other and feeding him something from a bowl. I interpret the image as Jesus (on top) giving his strength and hope to someone else (on the bottom). I chose this representation of Jesus because Jesus is the definition of strength and grace, he will help anyone before himself. When Jesus was on earth he helped anyone who needed it; the blind, poor, and those who were weak.…
