I always just thought it was there; when I asked my mom how I would know when I was in love she said, “when you know, you know.” I was so confused because that did not help my situation at all. How do I just know? Still clueless, I looked up the word ‘love’ in the dictionary. It is defined as “an intense feeling of deep affection.” But what does deep affection feel like?
Now being eighteen years old, I have had a little experience with getting to know guys and I’ve learned that they can be stupid (no offense). But everything changed when I started talking to a guy in my foods class junior year. I would be so nervous and excited

I would always stare at him and looked away really fast when he glimpsed back; eventually I just stopped looking away and just smiled. I can honestly say that I know what love feels like. For me, being in love has helped me branch out and meet new people and try new things. The guy that I looked forward to talking to in a class is now my …show more content…
You cannot decide how your future will turn out, but you can plan ahead and shape it along the way. Life changes so much unexpectedly and you have to be prepared for whatever is thrown at you. It is possible for someone to love somebody and have their lover not love them back. A one-sided relationship can cause heartbreak, pain, misery, torture, uncertainty, and dishonesty. Love is not always what it plays out to be, it can hurt and it is stressful and confusing. If you really someone you can be honest and tell them all your thoughts and opinions about the world, life, or even just their presence in general. I believe that if it really was love then it will never wear off, but you can move on, because we all have to move on in life. Some people will have many loves in their life, and some people will just have one. Not one love is the same as another love. Love is a personalized experience that changes you. No matter how rough life gets, love is what keeps us going. Without love there is not compassion, generosity, happiness, gratefulness, and all the good things that keep the human race proud, strong, and
