People toss around the world love but do they really know what it means? Love is a force of nature. Love is like how many stars are in the sky, how much it rains a week, or when a storm comes, it cannot be commanded to be taken away. It is a feeling you have towards someone that cannot be sold, bought, or traded. Love is uncontrollable and no matter how bad someone can treat you at a certain extent, you will still have love for that person. If you and the person you are with end up separating, eventually in the future the two of you will be put back together and remember everything happens for a reason.
The Best of me, is a movie about two high school sweetheart’s that end up going their separate ways but then end up reconnecting after 20 years of being apart. It all starts off with a guy named Dawson that is from an abusive family, does not know what love is, and is very shy. Then, there is Amanda who is beautiful, outgoing, and is from a wealthy family but her dad will do whatever it takes for her to stay away from Dawson or more less, pay him to stay away from her. Since Dawson was tired of his home lifestyle, he ended up running away and was welcomed into a nice home by a lonely Old Man

This notebook that he reads shares a story about a young couple that falls in love but is tested through trials. This couple was a wealthy girl that had a father that wanted her to have nothing to do with her small town sweetheart boyfriend. Well the father was not the problem, they were separated by World War II, and ended up taking different paths. The old man 's words while reading the story helped the older women relive what memories she had lost but helped her remember the tempestuous youth and vehement love they shared. They both passed happily together when the older woman realized, that was their own love
