Love is a dynamic aspect of life, a foundation for relationships, a building block for society, among many other things. People are in love with love, or at least their ideas of love. There is a certain infatuation our society has involving love, so much so that there are industries, corporations, and organisations built around the theme of love. Love extends to the most unexpected corners of the world and is uncontrollable. One of the bases of love is connection. This connection can be shared between anyone; parents-children, siblings, friends, teachers-students, animals, music, and movies, or even someone that one dislikes. Moreover, it is crucial to understand there are different types of love. An important point to recognize in this argument is that it’s not the love for something, but rather the unconditional love for someone and who they really are. For some people there is a special, natural relationship because of “blood.” The blood relation, accompanied by stories and memories shared of loved ones, helps foster feelings of connectedness. However, these accounts are just relics of who the person was at one point in time. These memories can be interpreted as inaccurate accounts compromised by bias and the effects of time. Life changes people and sometimes it just takes time to see those effects.
