Love For Photography Research Paper

Decent Essays
At the moment I photograph the people around me, my family and friends. I love capturing people because they are examples of pure emotion. I aspire to continue capturing people but more complexly. I want to express human nature and raw emotions conveyed by us as humans through my photography to poke at the brain and make people viewing it think. I am hoping to gain the skills to make my photography and art make people uncomfortable, forcing viewers to question perhaps their lifestyle. When a piece of work touches me I find it to be the most incredible, motivating feeling and I hope that someday my creative works will do the same to other people. One thing I would love to capture is a series of photos to promote awareness of factory farming.

Walker Evans I was assigned to write about Walker Evans, born in the USA (1903-1975) who is considered a noticeable American photographer during his time, his art is considered influential during the twentieth century because he is considered a creator in the documentary style in the American photography. At the beginning of his practice Evans admired and reflected the American history as his work documents the actual lifestyle of poor common people, it also described some of their agony and misery, this is why his art became a record that describes the important lifestyle during that time. This was all during the black and white photography technique at his early starts.…

Requiring photo identification to vote does not suppress voter turnout; instead it protects the integrity of elections. Shirley Jackson Lee argues that it suppresses voter turnout, however, I agree with Hans von Spakovsky’s stance that it protects the integrity because he makes a plethora of valid points. Requiring photo identification is a measure that is necessary to keep elections just and overturning this policy could lead to many issues in future elections. The need for photo identification is imperative in order to keep elections in the United States fair.…

Photography in its purest form is simply a method of storytelling without the need for words. Many factors go into taking a photo. You don't simply take a photo using just your eyes, but rather with your emotions, experience, and heart.…

Throughout this course I have gained more of an appreciation for artwork and the artists that create them. I have also gained an appreciation for the people that try to define what art is in general or more specifically what makes good art. We have read great thinkers and their philosophies on this, and the fact that even people of such great intelligence can disagree on the subject proves how challenging it can be. By reading the opinions of these great thinkers, and by discussing their thought with our class, I feel I am in a much better place as to define what makes good art myself. I define art as anything created by someone that inspires another to appreciation.…
