“Two households, both alike in dignity. In fair Verona, where we lay our scene…” This prologue has been prevailing during the 16th century, where William Shakespeare had first introduced Romeo and Juliet with universal praises. The story illustrated the forcefulness of love between Romeo and Juliet, which is dominant and spiritual. It is concluded that the love between Romeo and Juliet is fierce and passionate, yet generous. Although it is tragic in the end that brought the destruction of the star-crossed lovers, it thawed the ancient grudge and rejuvenated the relationship between the Capulets and the Montagues, preventing any further blood spilt between the two households. According to Collins Cobuild Dictionary, love is a very strong …show more content…

True love grows from fondness which develops deep inside their heart. An unknown vow to be sworn to protect and admire who they love. “Love is not a matter of counting the years, but making the years count.” It is because of the years that they have been through together, they understand ones needs. When two people are at one in their inmost heart, they could shatter the strength of iron and bronze. Even to heaven or hell, they would risk anything just to fulfill one another. And that’s love. As mentioned above, infatuation and love are very much alike. Feeling infatuated is like the instinct of “feeling gravity that pulls you together”, but it wasn’t something that can stand long. What tantalized you might be its appearance, elegance… that seemed to spin your world, despite the fact that what you truly know about them was nothing concrete. When you planned to seek advantage on somebody, you shall never implant your true emotion. To the extreme, where there is infatuation, there is also hatred. As you treat the endearment as something to be valued, obsession of possession and ownership shall consume you, a distorted value rose beneath you. You would fetch to the end of the world to control. Even the lover was in your hand, he or she would only be treated as a puppet, taking orders and listen to your

Aleksandra Tyzkiewicz Social Psychology 9.08.2015 INTRODUCTION Many people have been strongly attracted to someone, maybe even in love. The main problem is that these two are separated by a very thin line, as a matter of fact many people confuse attraction with love. These people believe that the feelings they have for the other person are so strong that they passed the attraction phase and walked into what is so called “love”. These feelings usually lead to relationships and this is what psychologists have been trying to explain; they say that a relationship is characterized by “love, care, commitment and intimacy” and only then it can be classified as consummate love, which means that all of these characteristics are present. Loving a person with every ounce of oneself is possible, but that does not mean every aspect of their personality is enchanting. Love is an extreme emotion, and therefore can be fickle. To love someone and not love them in the same breath is a complexity of human lives; we love them for how the individual cares for us, but we do not love them for their harsh temper. “One Boy Told Me” at first glance is just a funny poem; however, first impressions are often deceiving. One couplet can cause readers to develop silent smiles while laughing to themselves, and the couplet directly after cause the brows furrow.…

In Conclusion, I think that Romeo is a young, inexperienced and impatient but loyal and brave boy. I think that his naivety plays a huge rule in this because love was taken as an extravagant feeling to have when it was not truly happy as the lovers can experience heartbreak and many other obstacles. It seems as if Romeo only more cautious and deliberate, his devastating ending could have been prevented (even though we have not finished the book yet). Amongst friends especially Mercutio, Romeo shows signs of his social and quick witted persona, even with his fond of verbal jousting that is mainly about sex. Lastly, Romeo is like every other male in the world who only unveils their true self to the people who they trust or who understand them.…

Infatuation and love are two vastly different types of affection that most people get confused between. It is likely to occur more so among a boy and a girl when they are young and inexperienced as opposed to when they’re grown and matured. Infatuation can easily be mistaken for love in many cases. In Romeo and Juliet infatuation is mistaken for love by the both of them, for what they had between them was not love due to the fact that they were not mature enough, love takes time to develop, and because it was based on physical attraction. Love deals with more than just looks.…

“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind” (1.1234-35). Love is an irrational emotion, able to change as quickly and suddenly of the wind. People, in the name of love, are willing to overlook much in order to rationalize the actions and words of the subject of their affection. A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare uses wild pansies, night, and dynamic relationships to portray differing definitions of romantic love as a passionate, sometimes, irrational force able to blind lovers to the reality of the world. The first definition of love given is love is the the conquered surrendering to the conqueror.…
