Have you ever witnessed a flood? Did it scare you? Cleopatra has. She watched The Great Nile River flood each year(Morgan 8). This was one of the many things Cleopatra went through as she grew up. Throughout her life, Cleopatra experienced love and death with a bitter attitude.
Cleopatra had a very hard but luxurious life. The Nile River would flood each year because it would snow and the snow would melt into the river(Morgan 8). Cleopatra was forced to marry her brother; she didn’t get a chance to agree or disagree.(Cleopatra) She didn’t just marry one brother she married both. Once one died she would marry the next (Cleopatra). She didn’t want to share the throne with Ptolemy XIII”(Cleopatra XII”). They both wanted to rule. She saw Caesar as the savior of the dynasty for the Ptolemies(Morgan 28). She thought he would help her and he was going to save their dynasty. Ptolemy had the idea on how he was going to get back at Cleopatra and Caesar. He spread the word that Cleopatra killed herself(Cleopatra VII). Caesar was in love with Cleopatra and didn’t want to live without her. Cleopatra was alive she didn’t kill herself it was all just a plan to trick Caesar. It worked. Caesar killed himself. He stabbed himself and by the time Cleopatra heard it was too late. He had died. Cleopatra was devastated and didn’t know what to do. She felt as if there was only one thing she could of done. Be with the one she loved. Cleopatra commited suicide because her lover was dead.
