Charlie Gordon says “I’m in love with Miss Kinnian” (Charlie pg.38). This shows that he is feeling emotion, and he is expressing his love to Miss Kinnian. This supports my claim, because he gaining intelligence to understand things, and feel love, but he doesn’t need love to survive.
Also, when Charlie leaves to New York to escape his past, he leaves a note behind saying “P.P.S. Please if you get the chanse put some flowers on Algernon’s grave in the bakyard” (Charlie pg.52).
