At the beginning of Unbroken, I found the main characters Louie and Pete Zamperini’s relationship to be so refreshing. As brothers, their bond is extensive. Louie’s brother Pete accomplished this feat as Louie’s mentor, agent, cheering squad, confidant, and friend. Pete continually encourages Louie to bring on his best. Louie definitely has a blessing of a brother. I also have siblings who I relate to this way. I am the middle child in a clan of eight siblings. I gained exponentially from both examples of my families’ accomplishments and struggles, as well as, their direct involvement (i.e.- auto mechanics & entrepreneurial principals).
