Music is regarded as one of the triumphs of human creativity. Music is usually not allowed in school. This is because teachers think it is a distraction. Contrary to popular belief, music has been proven to be helpful during school. Music should be played during class to increase productivity.
In a recent study, students showed signs of increase happiness and efficiency while listening to music. Some modern studies argue that it is not the music itself, but the improved mood music brings to people. Instead of being distracted in noisy environments, listening to music helps with focus.

Listening to music before hand seems to be a more logical and proven solution. Listening to music before taking a test can help clear your mind and calm your nerves. This also works with presentations. No one likes to give a presentation or speech in class, most everyone gets nervous. Listening to music before will help calm nerves and give the confidence needed for speaking in public.
A study by Health Guidance shows that it does not matter if you already know the song played. Of course listening to loud music most likely is not as effective. Although, there is no specific genre that works or does not work. Some students have a hard time paying attention in class and become rowdy. This makes class difficult for the teachers who try to keep class under control. Also this makes it hard for the students to do well on classwork. Background music should be played while students do daily work, to help them focus and keep them calm.
Music should not be played while teachers are teaching their lesson, aside from that, there is no logical reason as to why music is a bad idea during school. Of course students should not listen to music during tests. Although, music playing in the background would be an immense help. In conclusion, music is not only an escape for students.
