When the boys end up choosing between Ralph and Jack to be their leader, war broke out between the two groups. Each leader thought that they were the better choice between the two. They ended up fighting because they both thought they were the right choice and neither one wanted to give up the power. The boys ended up disagreeing and they are not mature enough to understand how to sort out their difficulties without violence.
Glasses I think that glasses is a suitable word for describing this novel because glasses are an important object in the book. Piggy is the only one on the island who wears glasses which symbolizes his maturity and ability to function as a member of the team. His glasses are used to start the fires, so they are essentially a source of hope. Without the fire, the boys would have no hope of getting rescued from the island that is changing them.
Changed Changed is word that can be used to described this novel because it describes how the boys have changed since being on the island. The boys were civilized when they landed on the island, but as time progressed they turned into savages. None of the boys were the same as when they first came to the island. This is shown with Jack. At the beginning of the novel, jack wasn’t able to kill the pig because of his morals holding him back, but at the end, he has no qualms killing anything that stood in his
