The title of my book is Lost in the Barrens. It is a fiction book by Farley Mowat that contains 244 pages. The main characters are Jamie MacNair,Awasin Meewasin,Angus MacNair,Alphonse Meewasin,Denikazi,Peetyuk Anderson. Jamie is Angus’s nephew,European,he is 15 years,used to living in Toronto at a private boys school,becomes good friends with Awasin,parents died in a car crash,he didn’t know how to live in the wild. Awasin is Alphonse’s sons,good friends with Jamie ,knows how to live in the wild,has bin to residential school. Alphonse is Awasin’s father,chef of the woodland Cree’s,good friends with Angus. Angus is Jamie’s uncle,was paying for Jamie’s schooling, but run out of money to pay for the school,Jamie went to live with him. Denikazi is a chef of the northern woodland Cree,he took Jamie and Awasin hunting and than lost them. Peetyuk Anderson is the son of the man that the red haired man trading post,he is part Eskimo(his mother),has red hair,his people more afraid of the First Nations than the First Nation are of Eskimo.

For one,there is the Barren, St. George's,the créée camps,Peetyuk’s camp,Uncle Angus’s house,Hidden Valley,Stone Igloo camp,the killing place and so much more.

The rising action is when Jamie and Awasin get lost and hurt in the rapids and the rapids with Denikazi, the killing place.The Climax is when Jamie and Awasin run out of food and meet up with they're best buddy Winter and a hungry bear. But the rising action and Climax could be different for everyone.

The resolution is when the boys(Jamie & Awasin) find a “deserted” igloo. That igloo belongs to Peetyuk, he takes them to his family to get care and take him to his father's land, Peetyuk and his people takes Jamie & Awasin back home. The conclusion is when Jamie and Awasin’s dad and uncle (in Jamie’s case) have a party when they arrive back home, Angus invites Peetyuk to live with him and
