Callie Schmidt
Lost In Death Valley By:Callie Schmidt I was walking into the abandoned camper, smothered in sweat, and mouth dry to the bone. And the smell of burning rubber as I walked into the abandoned camper. I thought in my head I need to keep moving no matter what happens this is a life or death situation. When I walked in the door of the camper the place was a mess wood planks tore up with nails sticking out, and dusty furniture. I walked in faster and found myself in front of 2 mattresses they were white or what I think was supposed to be white. The mattress looked nasty, but we needed something to sleep on. Gina and I dragged the nasty mattresses out of the camper and laid the mattresses under the tree. I went inside the camper again and found stale oatmeal, cans of beans, beer, and some jerky. After that I looked around for anything useful outside the camper, I walked on the left side of the camper can found a hose, I turned the water on and the water the worst but best water I’ve ever had it was hot and tasted like dirt. All three of us had some of that water, we were relieved that we found water in the middle of nowhere.

Gina got sick from dehydration and exhaustion and felt unable to eat food. I started getting worried about this because soon enough all three of us might have the same feeling inside and out. I tried to get Gina to eat some small bites of the stale oatmeal from the camper. We found a radio in the camper and Gina hooked it up to the car battery, but the heat was too intense to stay in the sun that long enough to raise anyone on

What is a God? Is He a higher being someone made up to feel better when people did something bad? Or the “person” that is up in the sky waiting for us to join Him after we die? Or a real, loving, caring higher power whose always has your back? A Christian God is a God who holds all morals and who does not want to see His people hurting, but wanting them to succeed and have a great life.…

I walked through blurring snow and glistening flakes that were swirling around me up the hill to the old barn door in order to find shelter in the blizzard. I pushed open the door just enough to get through and entered the barn. There were fresh hay bales all over and I sat down on one and looked around examining my surroundings. I did a quick scan and nothing caught my attention at first, however, I scanned again and I saw what appeared to be an old antique chest in the far left corner of the barn. I walked over to it and saw what appeared to be a old lock on it that was hanging open.…

So it started out as a normal school day and as we were coming back from lunch we all went to the restroom and only six of us got taken. As we were using the restroom Andrew Myers, Jahzara Mckinney, Kadance Gravely, Maddox Lyons, Hayden Elliott, Kaylie Hawks and myself were pulled into the sewers and through a pipe that somehow took us to a island. We were stranded there by ourselves the island was like a forest in a way it has tall redwood trees high grass like the jungle and a beautiful glossering pond. So as we were there we were all panicking then I just got really quiet. We went to bed and the next morning Hayden and Jahzara were fighting over food we had from killing Andrew we had a lot of food left over from yesterday but both Jahzara and Hayden wanted that same piece.…

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, we're all accustomed to a certain standard, or stereotype that needs to be played. Whether it's being captain of the cheerleading team or the smartest kid in your class, it's one way or another that's there's going to be someone who's supposed to follow by these stereotypes or standards just for the sole fact that that's them. Unfortunately for me, it couldn't get any worse, since being an African American female who unfortunately does not fit your typical, "angry black woman." Yes, that "angry black woman", bitter, closed-off, unarticulated, with serious father issues.…
