Many rational, and many not. Many people believe different ideas, for different reasons. One theory, is that a disease broke out and killed all of them. What contradicts that idea is that no bones or skulls have been found near that area. This also wouldn’t explain why all the animals, food and homes had vanished. Also, that doesn’t explain why the livestock and homes were disappeared along with the people. Others believe is that the Roanoke colony tried to sail back to England, but got lost at sea. This is possible, however, there is no evidence to support this claim. It is all the while possible, we haven’t found any sort of shipwreck, involving this matter. One of the least likely ideas, is that it was a natural disaster that wiped out the entire population of Roanoke. No evidence supports this claim, but it does contradict it. There was no signs of natural disaster anywhere at Roanoke. The houses weren’t destroyed, but they were gone. The large trees used as a barrier were still in place, but had “CRO” carved into one of them. You may be wondering, what theories out there could be the answer to our question?
The intriguing mystery that is the lost colony of Roanoke may always be a mystery. What exactly happened we might never know. Although, we can still look over all the facts, only to continue and
