Lost Children In Sudan Essay

The Lost Children of Sudan should remain in Sudan because they need to repair their country. Neighboring countries and continents should aid them with their problems and be more involved to prevent the wars that are producing child soldiers. Sudan suffered from multiple long civil wars, on and off since 1955. During the wars, the armies would train children, at any age under 18, to operate a gun and kill the opposing side. These children became the “Lost Children of Sudan”. Even though the country split into two sections, Sudan and South Sudan, the war still remained. Other countries should help these children by targeting the source of the problem and either arrest the guilty or help make a compromise between the two sides, so that the wars end. The soldiers that are guilty of rape, murder and abducting children should be sent to jail and do what is necessary to show the people of Sudan that it is now secure. The battle of peace will be hard to win over, but once they established, their future it will only increase in quality. There needs to be more awareness raised to the attention of people in wealthier countries, so they know how to help and what is currently happening. The Sudan government should provide its’ people protection and education.(Ger Duany: CNN) If the child soldiers learn that what they are practicing is wrong, then they can help prevent or stop wars by working as a team to stop the violence. Many of the sources concerning the child soldier emphasize how young they are when taught how to use a gun and how to kill. Sources are constantly asking for help or money to support and save the people of Sudan, they often use pictures of sick children to trigger the emotion of the audience to take action.
