In the short film Lord of the flies, Directed by Peter brook, the loss of innocence plays a big role. The Lord of the flies is set during the First World War, where chaos and unrest were rampant. A group of British boys were being evacuated from their school, and were shot down by what looked like fighter jets. As there plane gets shot, it goes twirling down to a deserted island. Throughout the course of this film, viewers wonder whether the children would escape the deserted island in time. The boys go from well mannered, to inhuman savages by the end of the film.
