“Kill the pig. Cut her throat. Bash her in.” (75). Chants from Jack and his hunters would ring throughout the island, as though they craved violence. The craving made them mad and reckless causing them to lose all of their civility that they had once grasped. In Lord of The Flies by William Golding a group of young, intelligent boys found themselves in quite a predicament, no adults and no way to get home. The boys changed into something that they were not once before and lossed sight of what truly mattered. The book shows a very clear presentation of the boy's poor choices which lead up to their loss of civilization through the nonstop
