The teeth are loose because the root completely disintegrated, so there’s nothing really holding it there. Pediatric dentistry experts suggest encouraging them to gently wiggle the loose teeth with their tongue. Just don’t let your child yank at the tooth, as this could cause an infection in the broken root.
New Teeth May Be Uncomfortable: Since the adult teeth are coming in among baby teeth, there may be some discomfort during the transition Early on it may look a little funny with one or two bigger teeth sit next to the smaller ones. There may also be some adult teeth that grow in behind the baby teeth, a phenomenon known as “shark teeth”. This is completely normal, and as the baby tooth drops out, the adult tooth should assert itself in the proper position. Soreness in the back of the mouth is merely adult molars coming in. There are no baby molars, so this is new ground for tooth growth.
As the new teeth come in, make sure your child knows that regular tooth brushing and dental hygiene is very important. Supervise their brushing early on to make sure the practice is going well. Once they get in the good habit, a lifetime of proper tooth care will result in a happy, pain-free adult
