Losing Athena Persuasive Speech

Oh, what a beautiful picture, both Briar and Piper are gorgeous!!! Yes, I know losing one baby makes you grieve for the other – I went through that after losing Athena. Worst of it was having to leave her body in Kuwait, we buried her close to the house with her St Francis of Assisi medallion. There is no place that will cremate a dog in Kuwait, the British vet told us it was best to bury her ourselves, illegal but best. You’re right, after losing Athena I began to for Apollos loss but fortunately he was with us for another six years and I cherished every moment of his twilight years! I knew his day would come but I was determined to keep him active and engaged for as long as his health and happiness permitted. Consequently, came the homemade diet, constant monitoring of his bloodwork and the quest to find a vet that would clean his teeth in Korea.

Being Cairnless has been difficult, I was just not sure I was able to provide a new addition the adequate amount of time due to being in school and being in an apartment didn’t help either. I did apply for a rescue Cairn this past summer with the New England Westie Group but the male available was adopted by his foster. Thank-you for the

Enjoy your walks, I believe one reason Apollo was with us for as long as he was – was due to his daily walks. When he balked at going to the park I bought a Booyah stroller, took him on a stroll there and kicked him out at the park - to walk around and then back home, we did this daily. The attached pictures of some of my favorite Apollo & Athena Picts. that are on this computer, they were hairy I thought but not as hairy as your two! Though both my babies are gone I miss them, (always will I believe) I still get choked up writing about Athena, had I the choice I would have not left her in Kuwait. Again – enjoy your walks, I hope to be taking daily walks with our newest Cairns before too

The idea of persuading and how to properly be persuasive can differ from person to person but the ancient Greek ideas of ethos, logos, and pathos(or ethical, logical, and emotional), always are incorporated into being persuasive in any situation. Sophocles’ story of Antigone, daughter and sister of Oedipus, shows Antigone as a rebellious character who believes her religion and morals over her government’s demands. Following a great battle both Eteocles and Polynices, brothers of Antigone, die and Eteocles receives a proper military burial and honouring but Polyneices is deemed a traitor and is left to rot in the fields and in turn being denied an afterlife. Finding this to be ridiculous and horrible, Antigone proceeds to bury him even after it being announced as illegal and punishable by death, declared by the recently appointed king her own uncle/brother Creon, and is inevitably caught.…

After reviewing my persuasive speech over why the University of Oklahoma is the best university in the nation, I would sum up my speech as a little bit of train wreck. Although I made good claims with factual evidence, the amount of stuttering I did, and all the times I was choked up throughout the speech drew my audience’s attention away. From this, I lost my audience’s belief that I was competent of the information I was reiterating to them. At the introduction of my speech I believe I started out fairly strong and gave a good run down of the coming speech.…
