Losing A Language Research Paper

Losing a language and culture will advantages the financial prosperity of its speakers to make a living. To avoid being poor and have jobs and salary, those people who left Kenya and came to the United States should learn American culture and language. For instance, I went to Miami in Florida last month, and I saw that the most taxi drivers are African American. Those drivers had to leave their real language and culture to find a job and have money to live. Another example is about our house maid. In Saudi Arabia, most families have maid and drivers, and we used to have a maid from Indonesia. She was like a sister to me because she came to work in our house since I was three years old. When she came at first, she was not speaking Arabic, but now she speaks Arabic very well. She also know the Saudi culture as much as I do. Family is a pleasure that everyone dreaming to have it. But for some people like Kenyan, it is difficult to have a family and keep Kenyan language and culture at the same time. As a result, they choose to have a family rather than keeping a language. By creating a family, they will move to a rich country where it is easier to have a job and raise a family. The taxi drivers I saw in Miami for example, they moved to America, and they speak English very well. They also have friends in United States and one of them gave me his friend's number to call him whenever I needed a drive. He came and got married after he left his poor situation behind him. Those people are forced to let their language and culture dye in order to live a normal life instead of poor life.
