As we learned in the all-time cult favorite “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” starring Kate Hudson, there are many ways to “lose a guy”, or ruin any relationship for that matter. In this particular movie, Hudson does an experiment on how to ruin a relationship for her advice column. Watching this movie when I was younger, it made me laugh at all of her silly antics. Then as I grew older I realized there was a lot of truth to her “rules”. Although I learned a lot on how to “lose a guy”, I’m here to tell you how to NOT lose a guy (or girl/whatever your preference is). When a couple first meets, there will be a lot of small talk. There are the basic questions, “How many brothers and sister do you have?” Or, “What do you like to do in your spare …show more content…
In a healthy relationship, you have to both work together to make your time together count. You have to do activities you like to do together, have quality conversations, be active and live the lifestyle you guys BOTH enjoy living. These activities do not always have to be elaborate. When you spend quality time together make sure it includes conversations that are meaningful. So when your relationship grows and you decide to get married or have children, you will soon realize that it is not always going out and those will conversations matter. Another important part of quality time is intimacy. Although most people do not like to talk about it, it is important to do so. Sex is not the most important part about spending quality time together but it plays an important role in the interaction within a relationship. You have to be comfortable with doing sexual activities with your partner, and if you do not, you must let them know. Whether you take time to become comfortable with your partner or you decide to do things right away is up to the couple but you must both agree when that time is. If you take things too fast and do not agree, you may find yourself resentful and it will cause an argument. Giving and taking is also important aspect of intimacy. If every time, your partner initiates sex, realized that maybe it is your turn to do so. Intimacy can be the best
