In April 29,1992 The Los Angeles Riots were known as the Rodney King Riots but the riots were a series of riots, lootings, arsons, and civil disturbance and that occurred in Los Angeles County, California, in 1992. The Riots began in The South Central Los Angeles which had spread out into different areas over a six-day period time with Los Angeles metropolitan area in California , beginning in April 1992. The Riots Began in April 19, 1992 After a Trial was over because the jury acquitted to four police officers in The Los Angeles Police Department of the use of an excessive forces in the videotaped arrest of the beating of Rodney King.

But the liberals sought to unite with the other minorities in the Los Angeles to fight against the racial oppression and the scapegoating. But the conservatives emphasized law and order and generally flavored the economic and the social policies of the Republican Party. The conservatives tended to emphasize the political differences between Koreans and other minorities, specifically African Americans. On March 16 1991, a year prior to the Los Angeles riots, storekeeper Soon Ja Du physically Confronted black ninth-grader Latasha Harlins by grabbing her sweater and Backpack over whether it is 15-year-old had been trying to steal a bottle of orange juice from the store called empire …show more content…
After Latasha hit Du, Du shot Latasha in the back of the head, killing her. Du was convicted of volunteering of Manslaughter and forced to pay a fine of $500, but still was not sentenced to any prison time. This was the catalyst that fueled much of the the rage against the Koreans Storeowners in the Los Angeles community. With the beating of Rodney King he was released without any charges, and on March 15 sergeant Stacey Koon and Officers Powell, Wind, and Briseno were indicted by a Los Angeles the grand Jury in connection with the beating. All four were charged with Assault and With a Deadly Weapon and the excessive to use the force. Even though Koon did not actively participate in the beating.
