This is the largest Black-led housing association. Yet, more opportunities arose, giving him the ability to have an even larger impact for the betterment of society. By 2000, Victor held numerous titles and positions including Patron of the National College for School Leadership, member of the Social Exclusion Unit’s Policy Action Team on Young People, and Chair of the Review of Social Housing Co-ordination of the Institute of Public Policy Research (Lord Victor, n.d.). Their book, The Leadership Challenge, outlines the basic practices to being an excellent leader. The first of which is to model the way by clarifying values and setting an example, both actively done by Victor. He makes his values well known, often calling for equality and fairness. His dedication to those in need can be seen through his work with people with learning disabilities. He states that “people with learning disabilities are treated like second class citizens” too often, denouncing the prejudice they face (Lord Victor, n.d.).
