"The Lord then said to Noah, 'Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.' And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him" (New International Version, Gen. 7:1-5). God is sovereign and we as people do make our own selections in life. His sovereignty is not supposed to be confusing or questioned, it is supposed to comfort us. It is our security. Being sinners and making the wrong choices every once in a while, we should strive to live by God's Word and in unity with it through all of them. When we are faced with uncertainty, the first thing we need to ask ourselves is, "What would God do? What does His Word say about this situation I'm in?" and act accordingly. Swami Vivekananda, a spiritual guru of India and around the world, once said, "The will is not free - it is a phenomenon bound by cause and effect - but there is something behind the will which is free". Vivekananda also hits on that "All power is within you; you can do anything and everything" which resembles the Bible verse "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength" (New International Version, Phil. 4:13). These is very true statements. God supplies all of our needs and total freedom is found in Him alone. We are born into sin and chains, but God's grace covers this sinful nature if we let Him. With The Lord, we do not lack anything. We do not hunger or thirst. He is already in us. We all have access to His power if only we acknowledge

However, it is also important to realize that some people are not able to help themselves, their trials and tribulations are so great that they need help to find a way out of their dark times. It is not our place to judge people, in the New International Version of the Holy Bible, the Book of John, chapter 13, verse 34 states, “ A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” God’s command is to love one another, not judge. Additionally, God does help people who are unable to help themselves by working through us, in other word, God works through people to help other…

The opening words of his book, “Life is a series of decisions” (Dr. Kent Ingle, 2013), accurately describes his view. Dr. Kent Ingle quickly denounces the idea that on should find themselves in a routine; he believes that God always opens new doors, even if they don’t seem to line up with what appeared to be the path. These doors, according to Dr. Kent Ingle, are God’s way of providing a call to adventure. With these calls, one has two options: they can say yes to the call or they can deny the call. Either way, the decision is their own.…

This is so, because we are made in God’s image, and so we have received part of his divinity. In the beginning, God created humans. First off, the fact that we have free will is blatantly obvious in the beginning when Adam and Eve committed the first sin by eating the forbidden fruit. If God were determining their fate, he would have not let them eat the fruit, let alone put that choice in the garden to begin with. The bottom line is that God is only pure, and since we are sinners, it is obvious that we have choice in our…

As I struggle to include the Lord in my day-to-day activities and choices, I am continuously reminded of Jeremiah 29:11, which says, “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you hope and a future.’” Even though I forget about Him and desert Him multiple times a day, I have faith that He will never leave me, and that He will always help me when I ask Him…

We are given free will in our lives, to make our own choices that can either lead us onto a path of hope and freedom or one filled with chaos and corruption. In today’s society, it’s become more of a struggle to follow God and what He calls us to do, than to fall into the trap of the world. Humanity is filled with problems stemming from the fall of Mankind. Adam and Eve fell into the temptation of Satan, which led them towards the punishment of God. It’s our human nature to sin and have worldly desires.…

I think it is extremely important that we understand free will and know that yes, we make our own decisions. However, those decisions we make really do affect others around us. We need to strive to show Christ in our daily lives and to be more like Him each day. I think even though many people in this world will end up doing us wrong and not treating us right, we should first take the time to think about the root of the problem: sin. It started with the fall of man and will be here until our Savior comes back.…

A bible verse that coheres directly to fate, tells us that we are individuals shaped by God and our life is “prepared beforehand” and it is our duty to follow it, in a dignified way towards Him. Nevertheless, the Bible also emphasizes in the human moral ability to make decisions, a virtue given by God. Individuals have the ability to accept what they are given and decide the way they will take advantage of it.…
