Eventually, the boys can no longer stand being a group that they separate into 2 individual tribes, the savages and the civilization. For instance, at one point in the story Piggy starts to question if the boys are starting to evolve into savagery,“Which is better to be a pack of painted Indians or be sensible like Ralph” (180). At this point the boys are starting to split apart. Both boys Ralph and Jack are starting to develop their own tribes. Before long, Jack himself starts to change for the worse, into an invincible bloody killing beast, which no longer can differentiate from hunting a pig to a human. To illustrate that the boys hatred for one another has grown since they arrived on the island, when Ralph tries to go back to talk to Jack, Samneric warn him of the horrible truth, “They hate you Ralph. They’re going to do you’re they’re going to hunt you tomorrow” (188). The tensions between him and Ralph seem to have risen into a dreadful fight.
