Several English school boys, alone on an uncharted island with no adults to enforce rules, put orders, or yelling. An island with boys who are six to twelve years-old, who have a choice to have fun or get rescued and go home. These boys were fleeing home because of the war and ended up crashing on an island to have their own. There was one boy who stood up, Ralph, to the challenge and took charge. He simply blew into a conch and other boys elected him leader. In the book Lord of the Flies by William Golding Ralph represented democracy and leadership. Ralph represented two ideas one of those two was democracy. “All right. Who wants Jack for chief?’ With dreary obedience the choir raised their hands. `Who wants me?’ Every hand outside the choir
