Piggy’s dominant trait at the beginning of Lord of the Flies is intelligence.When “Piggy put on his glasses “it shows his brightness (Golding page 34).The fact that Piggy wears glasses shows that he is intelligent because it shows he have a great insight on things in the world. As Piggy says “nobody knows where we are “it illustrates his cleverness (Golding page 34).All of this goes to show Piggy’s intuitive because all of the other boys thought a plane would come and capture them meanwhile he knew they would be stranded. As noted in Lord of the Flies “acting like a crowd of kids” draws the reader to Piggy’s penetration. Based on this we must conclude Piggy is astute because he acts an adult while the other boys act as little kids. When Ralph says “his specs-use them as burning glasses “it shows Piggy’s perceptive.
