Good afternoon everybody, I am here today because I need to talk to you guys about the incident that has just happened. You so called hunters stole my glasses because you needed them to make a fire and that was very mean of you to do that. All of you are becoming incompetent because you are following Jack as your leader, he is an idiot and all he tells you to do is go hunting and dance around a fire like a bunk of cavemen, it's ridiculous.
[Booo! yelled the crowd.]
If we are to survive on this island and go home we need to start getting some order, we can’t have a leader who is just wanting to do the fun stuff all the time. I’m not saying we can’t do the fun stuff but we need to have other priorities so we can survive. It is just that since Jack has made his own group we have started to fight against one another, we all used to be friends

That was me Piggy, without all those things we would not be able to survive on this island or get off this island. The conch was able to keep an order between us and hold us together until Jack came along and worried everything and disrespected the conch. Then the fire, if it wasn’t for my glasses we would not be able to make the fire for cooking food and be able to make the signal fire so there would be a chance for us to get off this island. What has Jack done for you guys, help get a pig, when if it wasn’t for me you would be able to even eat the pig without cooking it with the fire.
If all of you want to survive on this island you would vote for me for leader not Jack, a person who has gotten one of our own killed because he made you guys scared of the beast. When if I was the leader I would come up with a plan to fight the beast and hunt it down for good and not leaving it alive and giving it offerings.
That's why Vote for Piggy for leader! Live like men. Live to

The novel Lord of the Flies written by William Golding and the essay "My Graduation Speech" written by Neil Postman share the same characteristics in the two group Postman calls "spiritual ancestors". The similarities between Ralph's group and the Athenians; Jack' tribe and the Visigoths; and Ralph and Jack show signs of the opposite group. First, Lord of the Flies and "My Graduation Speech" are similar because Ralph and his group relate to the Athenians, established by that Athenians and a member form Ralph's group, Piggy are both knowledgeable, such as in, "I've been thinking' he said 'about a clock. Woodchucks are harmless, cute and furry little animals. I often see them sitting along side of parks in my home town. They sit along side of the road and chew on different pieces of wood, grass and shrubs. Woodchucks do not harm anything, they simply love enjoying the sun and eating through out the day. This animal lives on roots, veggies and different types of shrubs in the wild.…

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13,14 Every day God's salvation draws nearer, which means we must be more diligent and persevering in our walk with the Him. We do not have the "luxury of time" to be consumed, preoccupied, or even fatigued in our day-to-day responsibilities that we become distracted to what God wants to accomplish in each of our lives and in His church! We are nearing the day of the "coming of our Lord and Savior," which signifies the need to pick-up our pace so that we will finish our earthly race and hear our Lord proclaim, "Well done thou good and faithful servant..."…

The Ultimate Battle of Good vs Evil Many novels and events throughout history, such as the Bible or Winston Churchill vs Adolf Hitler, use the idea of a perpetual battle of good vs evil, where the two sides are in a constant power struggle to the end. In Lord of the Flies, the protagonist, Ralph, if given the chance to lead for an extended period of time on the island, would be a superior and more successful leader, in comparison to his rival, Jack. Both of these boys are very resourceful, have a exceptional sense of initiative, and possess a certain amount of wisdom. Both Ralph and Jack are interesting leaders in their own ways, but Ralph has an advantage given his ideas of long term rescue and safety. As a matter of fact, to be a successful…

Charisma is when someone has charm an example of someone with charm or charisma is James Bond. Someone that is suave and has a way with words, but most importantly. This is the reason that Jack is able to come out victorious against Ralph because Jack is able to get the rest of the boys to rally behind them to basically build an army against Ralph in order to beat him. However, under Ralph’s leadership, the group of kids is uninterested in their work. Unlike the amused hunters in Jack’s group, Ralph’s group of boys would, “keep running off…they’re off bathing, or eating, or playing…they work for five minutes, then wander or go hunting” (63). Ralph’s control over his people is weak because they lack interest in what he does. The littluns would rather fulfill their own desires of bathing, eating, and playing than work for Ralph. Since Ralph’s group of boys are inefficient at completing certain tasks, it shows how his leadership style is not as effective compared to Jack’s leadership style.…

Irony It is ironic how Simon is murdered for being mistaken as a beast when he is considered the Christ like figure on the island. Jesus is universally known to be the savior, while Simon was on his way to save the boys literally and metaphorically by telling them truth about the beast, he was murdered for being mistaken as the devil (beast). It is also ironic that Jack says, “after all, we are not savages” in the beginning of the story, but he himself becomes the leader of the savage tribe. The naval officer thinks that they are playing when he reaches the island but Jack and his hunters are actually trying to kill Ralph. Piggy, who is one of the most civilized, persistently tries to convince the others of their foolish actions, "which is better, law and rescue, or hunting and breaking things up?"…
