Imagine a leader without any morals? Would they still be a leader, or become a dictator? A good leader needs moral integrity. They need moral integrity so they make good, rational, decisions. They need it to care for the people they are leading and to make sure things don't get too out of hand. This ties in with The lord of the flies because leadership is very important to the story, and so are morals that are bent. Morals vary in the book which causes conflicts, which is why leadership is very key to the plot.

If the leader didn't have moral integrity, they would let all hell break loose. In the book, they talk about rules to keep order, “We've got to have rules and obey them. After all, we're not savages. We're English, and the English are best at everything."(Golding,192).I chose this quote from Jack because it shows how rules were needed to keep them from becoming something their not.
