Good versus Evil how will it turn out in the end? In the story in the “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding, there are boys that are stranded on an island. The boys try to stay as a whole group so the boys set some rules and chose a leader. The boys chose Ralph to be the leader and he tries his best, but then another kid named Jack started his own group. Then everyone went to his group except Ralph and a few others. Then it ended as just Ralph against Jack and his group. Based of Good and Evil by the end Ralph is good and Jack is Evil.

Darkness is a sign of evil because whenever a kid is in the dark the kid thinks they see a movie star or beast like in Lord of the Flies, one of the little kids thinks he saw a beast but there was none. Also the last time any humans have had to go against wild animals to survive was when humanity were savages so the darkness brings us back to our ancient ways. “He wants to know what you’re going to do about the snake-thing.’ Ralph laughed, and the other boys laughed with him.The small boy twisted himself further into himself. ‘Tell us about the snake-thing.’ ‘Now he says it was a beastie.” (pg.35) “He says the beastie came in the dark.’. . . ‘He says in the morning it turned into them things like ropes in the trees and hung in the branches.” (pg.36) This shows how the night and dark can affect what people see. The little boy said he saw a beast at night and was gone in the morning. That is because the light shows us what is real and the night puts imaginations in our heads, cause during the night is when we have dreams and nightmares, but during the day we don’t because the day and light show truth and reality and night is the opposite. In the video Lucifer Effect the guy was talking about an experiment made with kids and how they went crazy and savage because they were left in jail even though they did nothing wrong. Ralph could be evil because he wants to focus on hard work and not fun unlike Jack so that could mean Ralph would be one of those mean teachers at school and Jack one of those fun teachers who do mostly activities and the activities are fun activities. “Jack ignored him, lifted his spear and began to shout. ‘LIsten, all of you. Me and my hunters, we’re living along the beach by a flat rock. We hunt and feast and have fun . If you want to join my tribe come and see us. Perhaps I’ll let you join. Perhaps not.” (pg.140) This says that Jack is having fun and if anyone who wants to just have fun can come. Who does not want fun. It is like saying you hate fun activities. Some example are roller coasters, watching a movie, playing card games, playing board games, playing games in general. Those are some examples, but there are more there are people who don’t like some of those but hating all of them I don’t know a single person who does. “When the meeting over they’d work for five minutes, then wander off or go hunting.’. . . ‘We want meat’ ‘Well, we haven’t got any yet. And we want shelters. Besides, the rest of your hunters came back hours ago. They’ve been swimming.” (pg.51) This shows how Ralph is only focused on work work work and be only wants work to be done instead of going and having fun. That is how Jack is good and Ralph is
