Boy’s Savagery In the book Lord of the Flies they had many complications. The boys became very savage. I think the boys savage and immoral behavior should be blamed on the environment. In the book Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, he writes about characters whose plane crashed on a deserted island. When the characters were all on the island they formed a tribe. The main characters were Ralph and Piggy. Ralph was the leader of the tribe and was tall and skinny. Piggy was a bit different, he was fat, wasn’t too smart and had asthma. There were many more people that were on the island that had to survive. Everyone voted for a leader and Ralph won. Ralph said that they need to start by making a fire and building a shelter. Conflict started when started making commands that not everyone agreed with Ralph. So jack, who was someone else in the tribe, went and made his own tribe on the other side of the island and brought many people with him. …show more content…
In the article “Why Boys become Vicious” it says that “When people are afraid they discover violence within them.” This relates to the environment that the boys were in. Because when the boy’s plane crashed into the deserted island they had no idea what do and became afraid. Also in the article it says that “I do not think it is too unlikely for children living without adult protection are often afraid. The boys on the island had no parental guidance.
