“childhood is the kingdom where nobody dies.” In the book lord of the flies , The boys from a school in England have crashed on an island in the pacific because of world war two . The boys had realized there were no adults and they had to become the adults and or think like an adult. They had struggled to grow and take care of themselves everything had started well then it became chaotic. The end of innocents all started with the brutal killing of a momma pig . The boys had been stalking the pig and planning to hunt her . They had ran after her while throwing spears until she was down . “she squealed and bucked and the air was full of sweat and noise and blood and terror.” (Golding 135) The boys had kept torturing her by pushing the spear deeper into her . The momma pigs squealed almost seemed to excite the savage boys more and more because they giggled when it was all over. The boys had found the joy of killing leading to killing their group members.

The boys loss of innocents really kicked in when they had killed their group member Simon. The boys had been chanting to kill what they had though was the beast .”Kill the beast ! Cut his throat ! Spill his blood!” (Golding 152) The boys had beat Simon to death as he

They had realised there were no adults and how to become an adult and or think like one. It was a big struggle to learn how to take care of themselves and then it became chaotic. The killing of a mother pig started it all. Then soon after the killing of the pig it escalated to killing a group member named Simon. The boys split groups between Ralph’s and Jack’s became demeaning towards one another because Ralph’s group wanted to survive and Jack’s just wanted to have more power . This all meant that once they had been rescued they were no longer the innocent school boys they had been when they got to the island . They were now killers and savages
