Why are parents so strict about their children’s love life? Lord Capulet and Friar Lawrence are the two people that were responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Lord Capulet and lord Montague were enemies, so they didn’t want their children to be together. That’s not fair because they were not involved in the problems between their fathers. Friar Lawrence were responsible for their deaths to because, he planned the marriage with lord Capulet behind Juliet’s back. Friar Lawrence knew Juliet was already married but, he still set up another marriage for her. I think lord Capulet was to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because he was so strict about who Juliet married and protesting their marriage. Lord Capulet should’ve been more open minded to Juliet and know what she liked and who she wanted to be with. If he didn’t forced her to marry Paris and threatened her, then it wouldn’t lead her to commit suicide. Instead of forcing her to marry Paris, he should’ve let her be with Romeo, someone that she actually loved and the person that she wanted to be with. Lord Capulet said, “Hang thee, young baggage! He was to blame because he tried to help Juliet run away with Romeo by giving her the sleeping poison to wake her after 48 hours she found out that Romeo was dead and she decided to kill herself too.
