1. Lonnie's full name is Lonnie Collins Motion. His mothers favorite song was "Locomotion" that went "Come on baby do the locomotion"
2. Lonnie sometimes begins to miss his mother. When he does he goes to the drugstore and asks if he can smell the honeysuckle talc powder. Doing that makes him feel just for a few seconds that his mother is alive. Only because that is what she used to smell like.
3. Lonnie is a kind and caring brother. He is very protective over his sister saying that he wouldn't hurt her for a million dollars. He is extremely happy when he is able to spend two weeks with her at summer camp.
4. He is so upset because his parents are dead. They were lost in a fire. He is also separate from his little sister Lili. He wants to yell " What family?" because of his anger.

Lonnie feels really bad for Eric. HE tries to ignore his thoughts about Eric but he is overwhelmed with sadness and grief. Even though Eric was sometimes mean to him, he still cares and is worried about him
7. Lonnie isn't ready to share what he has seen with his friends. His friends attempt to impress each other is a silly and immature to him.
8. Lili is hoping that if Lonnie finds God then her new mother might consider, and take Lonnie in as well . Lonnie doesn't begin to see god at first. He sits on the roof hoping that God will show himself but he doesn't. But he then begins to see God in the kindness of others.
9. Lonnie sees that Clyde also has a younger sister. Cyde's little sister has the same hair as Lili. He can relate to Clyde because , they both have younger sisters that they are both really protective of. Lonnie begins to with that he could protect his sister the way Clyde does.
10. I think it means that he wants to make an attempt at finding God. He does this because his younger sister Lili wants him to find god so they can possibly be together again. Also by writing the word hope in his hand it is helping him make the step in that
