A total of 100 students were observed in 10 of the most widely used public restrooms on campus to determine whether or not they washed their hands
Students that were observed using the restroom were then asked to answer survey questions upon emerging from the bathroom. The surveys were coded as to whether the student washed their hands or not and consisted of a short questionnaire regarding major and gender. This data was used to categorize students into statistical groups

As stated already, limitations are something in the article that keeps the results from being good or bad results. The limitations found in the articles searched played a good influence on the results. Some of the limitations in the article about preventing diseases and outbreaks in child care are as follows, “the limitation of our study was its small sample size. A decreased occurred in the number and severity of outbreaks following the education, evaluation, and inspection program. It would require a larger sample size however to determine if this trend was statistically significant.” CITE. Another limitation from the same article is, “the limitations of our study are inherent in its designs. After the education, evaluation, and inspection program was completed, a significant increase occurred in the child care administrations knowledge on a number of communicable diseases.” CITE. In many of these articles, more education on handwashing and the infections and diseases that can be spread through not washing your hands was recommended, especially to the ones who work in child care settings or in health care settings. “There are many studies that indicate that proper hand hygiene can decrease illness rates and that an increase in hand washing will not only decrease the incidence of illness within a person, but may be able to quell the spread of an infection throughout the population.” CITE . “Another limitation that was found to have a lot of improvement for some health care worker, were the administration that put a training program in their facilities to help with the knowledge of handwashing and the benefits it has for it. All the limitations have a little bit of something in common when it comes to the healthcare workers and the students in general.
