With longer blocks, teachers have more time to complete lesson plans, and re-teach lessons students may have not understood. Longer time blocks allow for in depth study, such as individual student projects, peer projects, and work one on one between teacher and students. Teachers can also get a better understanding on different learning styles a student may have. With more teaching time there will be longer cooperative learning activities that can be completed in one class period.
