I found myself having to resort to extreme measure to practice long boarding, some I didn’t even know would motivate me. I had to use multiple tactics to get myself motivated for practice, some internal and external motivation, and I even had to set goals to make myself practice. The intrinsic motivators that I used are quite common in my opinion. The whole time I was practicing I had to remind myself that I couldn’t fall or I would look dumb. I also had to remind myself how accomplished I would feel after I learned how to long board or thinking about how cool I would look long boarding across campus. I also used some forms of extrinsic to keep myself in check. I would often times tell my friend who was teaching me that I couldn’t check my phone for ten minutes, forcing myself to practice for at least ten minutes undistracted. I also set short term goals for each time I tried long boarding. For example, one time I would try to work on my ability to turn right or left, and the next time I would practice pushing for speed or turning my feet the right
