“A little girl seeks revenge, a real woman moves on while karma does her dirty work. (Quote from somewhere?)” When someone is trying to write a wrong redemption is a smart and less painful then revenge. That would be putting the weight of the world on one tinny person doesn’t seem smart right? Today I’m going to get my evidence from Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah, "Redemption Song" by Bob Marley, A Poison Tree by William Blake, and The Possibility of Evil by Shirley Jackson. When writing a wrong someone has two options redemption or revenge. Revenge hurts everyone especially yourself, revenge only satisfies for a little bit, and when you redeem yourself it’s freeing.

In the Poison Tree there’s this quote that can perfectly explain. “I was angry with my friend; I told my wrath, my wrath did end. I was angry with my foe: I told it not, my wrath did grow.” If we just tell people that we are angry or mad it would end though, if we don’t tell people that we are angry we eventually will explode. Bob Marley also sums it up perfectly in his song Redemption Song. “Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.” No one can make you want/need revenge you are the one choosing to get your revenge.
