Long Term Goals

In order to attain my long term and short term goals I will have to obtain more knowledge and skill and readjust my attitude to be for forward thinking. To complete my master program am enrolled at WGU and in sticking to the program established with my mentor I should complete the program by July 2017. By going back to school at this point in my life, I will get an opportunity to learn new and more innovative ways of leading and managing. I am over weight and that has factored in my ability to lead as the negative risk factors such as high blood pressure and pre-diabetes are occurring. To lead successfully I need lose about 60 pounds. This will get me into better physical shape, which will directly affect my ability to lead. I will volunteer at a non-profit or become a mentor to a student or group of students attending an inner city school. This will help me become better at serving others while help to teach me to become a better servant. The inner city need mentors and the African American community need volunteers that the children can identify with to show them that they can make life choices to be in a better position educationally and financially than the generations before them. I must relinquish some control and delegate more task to my group. In order to do this I will identify areas of strengths in each one and assign tasks based on those strengths. My company offers seminars on leadership development. Knowing how to per persuasive will make me a better leader than making demands on them. Being too coercive will only make them afraid of me as a leader and eventually lose motivation to complete the task. I will sign up for a few of these seminars to help teach me how to be more persuasive and to learn how to be
