I was ecstatic when my first grade teacher showed me the blueprints of my architecturally magnificent school from the late 1930s. Since then, I have also learned a great deal of my elementary school’s architectural style and significance to my community’s history. Furthermore, my first grade teacher was immensely supportive of my career aspiration; therefore, she helped me in setting general educational goals. She explained to me that I needed to go to college and would have to do well in school to do so; subsequently, those were the exact goals I decided upon to pursue.
In secondary school, my goals have evolved and changed slightly. In my seventh grade science class, for instance, I learned about civil engineering. It is truly amazing how civil engineers design all of the roads and bridges we use in our everyday lives and how engineers can calculate the needed structural support buildings need. Therefore, I greatly considered becoming a civil engineer at this point in my life. In addition to middle school, high school exposed me to many other careers that I have had exciting experiences with. For example, I have taken a number of collegiate engineering courses relating to engineering design and the principles of engineering. In addition to my classes, I
