Heroin is a narcotic, which are addictive drugs that cause the user to feel less pain and increase euphoria, which causes a person to feel more excited or happy. Heroin is processed from morphine, which is removed from different types of poppy plants. Heroin is basically a white powder with a sour taste. Another type of heroin is black tar may be hard like coal, and its color can alter from dark brown to black. Heroin is often injected, but heroin may also be snorted or smoked. Although smoking and sniffing heroin do not make a "rush" as quickly or as intensely as injection, The effects on the body from continued use of this drug are very destructive.
