1. This is a task that I complete daily, often times; I receive phone calls or emails from terminated employees and/or LTD recipients that are considering withdrawing their pension contributions and want to know if they are still eligible for health benefits. I inform then that once their pension contributions are withdrawn they are no longer eligible for any pension benefits, meaning that if an individual is on Long Term Disability and they have healthcare through the State of Delaware’s GHIP, once they withdrawal their pension contributions they are no longer eligible to receive any benefits from the state, additionally, I inform them that once they withdrawal their contributions they also lose all of their current pension creditable time.
