It is important that all Residents in facility are provided with pleasurable, supportive dining environment for all meals, beverage and snacks so they consume and enjoy the majority of the meals, and receive quality nutrition care appropriate for their medical conditions, personal needs, and quality. Meals and the dining experience can play a very important role in maintaining the appetite, therefore the health of the residents in long term care facilities as a customer service in long term care.

Smith occasionally suffers from constipation and if you are constipated occasionally than you will know the type of food to eat. The good part is not all the time he is constipated. Some medication can make you constipated.
Sensory Limitation
Mr. Smith has many problems. When dealing with individuals with issues such as limited hearing, relax and smile, be patient, look directly at the client when speaking and offer assistance.
Nursing should ensure client has hearing aid and device is operational. Client with a hearing impairment may indicate they hear best if server speaks on a specific side. Also the elimination or reduction of back ground noise is essential for those with hearing loss. The height of some tables can be adjusted to accommodate a wheelchair.
In some instances nursing may assist client to transfer to regular dining chair. Also if the individual has a walker asks their permission if you need to move it. Remember that is needs to be accessible to the client. The resident is positioned close to the table with the level, between waist and mid chest. Some guest may require adaptive utensils due to arthritis, which limits their hand or wrist movements.
