The long tailed weasel has a unique body shape and color. The long tailed Weasel ranges from 300-350 mm in length. The tail part of the weasel comprises 40-70% of head and body length. The weasels typical weight ranges from 1.06 to 3.52 oz. The weasel’s type of symmetry is Bilateral Symmetry. Bilateral Symmetry is the property of being divisible into symmetrical halves on either side of a unique plane. When the long tailed weasel is in its summer coat of fur, the stomach is usually yellow and the back is reddish-brown, but when the weasel is in its winter coat it is covered in a snowy white
