Feeling like no one is there for you can make someone feel lonely and/or like they don't fit in. The novel Frankenstein represents loneliness is unhealthy because Victor brings a creature to life but then abandons him: "But where were my friends and relations? No father had watched my infant days, no mother had blessed me with smiles and caresses; or if they had, all my past life was now a blot, a blind vacancy in which I distinguished nothing." If a person doesn't have someone or something to comfort them, they will feel lonely. In Frankenstein, the monster is begging for someone to spend time with so he can feel like he fits in. However, because he feels so alone, it caused him to do bad things out of revenge towards Victor. This supports that feeling lonely can make someone act differently, usually in a negative manner. In the monster's case, he murdered someone, but often, people may suffer from something like depression or anxiety.
