As the book went one it showed how he wasn’t horrible mean to Lennie. I think that a lot of the men made friends with each other because they stayed in the bunk house together where as Crooks wasn’t allowed to he had to sleep in the barn. When Crooks was telling Candy what he could do on the farm it sounded like he was trying to make friends. I think that candy tries to make friends but he doesn’t know how to very well.
